New GCAC Creative Leaders in the Arts – Teen Program
We are excited to share our new GCAC Creative Leaders in the Arts – Teen Program offered FREE by Grand Central Art Center. Through visiting curators, artists, arts leaders, and collaborations with surrounding organizations, the program creates space for process and dialogue. Now into its third week, the young students are focusing on topics that pertain to socially engaged contemporary art and practice. Students from the community are learning to apply themselves rigorously as they critically think about the arts and their role in society.
Today the students had the opportunity for conversation with current GCAC artist-in-residence Carol Diehl, as she shared her knowledge and insights.
The program is being led by GCAC’s Xavier Robles Armas, Coordinator of Public Programs.
